Local Repository Scanner

Scan your local git repositories to generate resume bullets

Why scan locally?

  • Access repositories that aren't on GitHub
  • Include work from private company repos
  • Process commits from all your local projects at once
  • No need to connect your GitHub account

Step 1: Generate Authentication Token

Generate a one-time authentication token to use with the CLI tool. This token expires in 24 hours and can only be used once.

Step 2: Run the CLI Scanner

Use npx to run the CLI tool (no installation required):

npx @cierto-tech/commit-scanner

When prompted:

  • API URL:
  • Paste the token you generated above
  • Enter your git email address
  • Select the repositories to scan

Step 3: View Your Results

After running the CLI, you'll receive a link to view your generated resume bullets. You can then:

  • Review and edit the generated bullets
  • Copy individual bullets or entire sections
  • Export to markdown or PDF
  • Save to your profile for future reference

Privacy & Security

The CLI only sends commit metadata (messages, dates, authors) - never your source code.

All data is automatically deleted after 7 days.
